reading warfare

So I've been a reading fiend these past couple of weeks.
I'm working on 4 books and one magazine simultaneously.
I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere, but I can't surrender.

One of the books is "On The Road" by Jack Kerouac, and i was slayed by these two quotes:

"We turned at a dozen paces, for love is a duel, and looked at each other for the last time."

and

"Isn't it true that you start your life a sweet child believing in everything under your father's roof? Then comes the day of the Laodiceans, when you know you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, and with the visage of a gruesome grieving ghost you go shuddering through nightmare life"

  1. Books are the new film. I am captivated by both quotes. I need to be reading more. I admire you for setting aside the time.

  2. Ahh. I have to finish that book. Glad to see you on the reading wagon, or as your title suggests, reading tank.

    NEVER SURRENDER!

Someone famous must have said that once.

  3. Tim Allen?

Not that he deserves to be famous.
