So not that it matters but it's been bugging me for the past couple days so I want to revise my "best of 2009" post
I have to say Ratatat was truthfully a better show than Girl Talk.
I was misled by the stories that came from the latter. Just because you have more to
talk about (or in this case more to keep to myself) didn't make it better, just more memorable.
So Ratatat takes the cake for 09 in 2010.
Then I've been trying to think of my top movie for 09'. After reviewing the year I came to two conclusions:
1) 09' was not a year for cinematic breakthroughs.
2) There are still a few movies I missed (up in the air, broken embraces, int the loop, and precious) so who knows perhaps this will be revised as well.
But it came down to two movies for me this year:
500 days of summer
and
Fantastic Mr. Fox
500 days was easy to watch(Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel), it had a really good soundtrack, and isn't a typical romantic comedy...so I could stomach it. plus it led to great conversation :)
Being Wes Andersons first animated film, Fantastic Mr. Fox was amazing. I was afraid the stop-motion feel would give me the creeps, by quite the opposite. I found the movie refreshing and it put me in a good mood.
So our winner is....

GOOD CHOICES! Man....now I want to make one of these best of the year things. WE ALL SHOULD!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to see Fantastic Mr Fox. Mark saw it and loved it. BTW I finally got around to seeing Coraline...and it was really really good. I don't get how it's a kids movie though.
oh man! Coraline was freaky. Definitely not 'kid-approved'
